Central Georgia District has formed a Medical Response Team under the leadership of Elder Charlie Smith, Pastor Loose & Bind Ministries; Superintendent Central Georgia District & Lady Zellene Smith, District First Lady. The members of our Medical Response Team starting from left to right:

Jacquelyn Hudson, RN- District Coordinator, Janice Bembry, RN- Secretary, Cynthia Higdon, medical Assistant/phlebotomist, Danielle Brown, RN Jalana Milner, CPR/First Aid Instructor Katrice Mackey Physician Assistant-Certified/ National Medical Response  Team Coordinator. Vision: To broaden Central Georgia District’s members/ communities knowledge related to health issues resulting in maintaining healthy temples.

Mission: To increase Central Georgia District members/communities awareness and knowledge regarding health management and prevention of diseases. 

   

Goals: To provide specific educational materials and teaching to the congregation and/ or individual member based on the needs of our district and local churches.

  • Make available Basic CPR & First Aid to members
  • To ensure First Aid Kits are available at each local church 
  • To have Medical Response Team on duty at district gatherings
  • To assess each medical incident
  • To provide immediate emergency treatment. (Benadryl & Tylenol) administered by Physician Assistant Certified on a need to basis.
  • To allow uniformity and identification, Medical Response Team  members will wear white lab jackets.

The first medical response occurred during our district quarterly assembly that convened January 29-31, 2016.

The second medical response occurred at our district quarterly assembly that convened May 27-29, 2016. During which presenters presented health awareness information and literature. Topics: High Blood Pressure, Katrice Mackey, PA-C and Diabetes, Marlena Hughes, RN . The information was well received. Our goal is to provide at least one health topic per quarter.
