Lady Zellene Smith counts it an honor and privilege to serve as the editor for the "First Lady Support Team” on the National Women’s Website. Even though her service as First Lady started just four years ago, she brings a wealth of experiences to this important assignment. Her personal and professional accomplishments combined with what she has learned through the challenging journey of being first lady at her local church, and district church uniquely qualifies her to help other first ladies around the National Church.

Lady Smith is proudly married to District Elder Charlie Smith who is the superintendent of the Central Georgia District where she serves as first lady. Her local church is Loose & Bind Ministries in Dublin, Georgia.

With this dual role, Lady Zellene and her team will bring forth articles, experiences, concerns and issues relating to first ladies. The goal is to help women spiritually, physically and socially to live their lives to the fullest potential. She will encourage first ladies to connect, support and inspire other women to create within themselves a well-balanced ministry in the church, at work, and in the home.

Lady Zellene is the seventh child of nine siblings. She is a graduate of Fort Valley State University where she received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration in 1977. She is retired from R.J. Reynolds Company after 28-years of service. She has faithfully served in various offices in the church under the leadership of the late Elder Dexter Marshall before becoming a first lady.

Lady Zellene also works tirelessly by her husband side as the financial secretary for their business, Smith Home Improvement & Builders, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors.
