Lead Editor and Editor Personal Life: Domonique Brunson, Northeastern New York District
Minister Domonique Brunson is so honored to be called to the task of editor of the Personal Life Section and Lead Editor of the COGBF Women’s Website! She feels that this assignment is yet another avenue through which she can share her heart and passion for helping and encouraging women of all ages in their daily walk through the love of Christ.
Her zeal for writing began as a young teen and coupled with the God-given unction she sensed in her heart, she started a facebook page called “Sister-to-Sister: Christian-Style” as a way for women to share their testimonies and encourage each other. She is beyond amazed that it is still going strong today. As that zeal for writing continued to build, she jumped at the opportunity to become a contributor to this site with the vision to see it bless countless women across the world. Her goal is and has always been to serve God wherever He may choose to use her and to see to it that He is glorified above all. In fact, she was able to display that heart for service by representing 2nd Century By Faith at the very first National Women’s Ministry service in Jacksonville, Florida, as a speaker in 2017.
Minister Domonique has been born and raised in COGBF as a Pastor’s child from a young age and began on the South Carolina District, but now resides in Newark, NJ, as a part of the Northeastern New York District where Elder James Bivins is the District Superintendent. She is extremely active on all levels including currently serving as the National 2nd Century Programming Coordinator and one of the directresses of the National Mass and 2nd Century Choirs. Minister Domonique is a 2010 graduate of North Carolina Central University (Durham, NC) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and is currently pursuing a medical degree in pediatrics. She has also been a high school science teacher at Abundant Life Academy in Nutley, NJ, since 2015. She is looking forward to continuing to unveil the gifts God has placed inside of her.
Spiritual Life: Minister Felicia B. Sims, Jacksonville District
Minister Felicia B. Sims is a resident of Yulee, Fl in Nassau County; she is the daughter of the late Mr. Steve Baker Jr. and Mrs. Thelma Raysor, as well as the granddaughter to the late Mr. Steve Baker Sr. and Mrs. Marie Baker and the late Mr. Joseph & Marie Melton. At the age of 16; while attending revival services conducted by Dr. Sherman Roberts at the Solid Rock Church of God by Faith, Felicia committed her life to the Lord. This life-changing event set the course for her life.
She enrolled in Truth for Living Bible College in 1998, receiving certification in Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance Training, and in 2014 she received her certificate of Biblical Studies from Refreshing Faith Bible College, in addition to completing year one of Church of God by Faith Women in Ministry Training Curriculum. Felicia also attended Florida State Community College majoring in Business Administration. Under the tutelage of Pastor Harry Johnson, Felicia accepted and walks in her predestined calling; declaring with fervor, the Good News of the Gospel! The anointing to break strongholds and destroy yokes through the Word of the Lord was cultivated in Felicia’s life through her own encounters and victorious battles against the enemy. Her lifestyle exemplifies a genuine relationship with the Father; it is one of integrity, pure motives, and Spirit-filled. She ministers with passion and utilizes her life experiences to encourage others in their commitment to live a life dedicated to our Lord.
With her love and compassion for the Word of God, and a genuine desire to see women pursue their God given talents, tap into, and fulfill their purpose, and to build a consistent love relationship with the Father; God placed a burden on Minister Sims heart to seek Him for further direction for women ministry. After much prayer, God placed a vision for women ministry within the heart of Minister Sims. In January 2014, God birthed Agape~Sistah’s Ministry. With the approval of her Pastor, Dr. Harry J. Johnson, Agape~Sistah’s Ministry came to fruition in the spring of 2014 at Solid Rock Church of God by Faith, and continues to be a blessing to the women at Solid Rock and in the surrounding communities.
One of Minister Sims most favorite verses of scripture is St. Matthew 6:33--“But seek ye first the kingdom of God; and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you.” Felicia acknowledges that, because of her submission to the will of God, many blessings have been added to her life. One of which is her wonderful husband, Todd Sims, and her beautiful daughters, Aliyah and Talishia Sims, and her beloved Sadie a 7-year old Shih Tzu.
First Lady Support: Zellene Smith, Central Georgia District
Lady Zellene Smith counts it an honor and privilege to serve as the editor for the "First Lady Support Team” on the National Women’s Website. Even though her service as First Lady started just four years ago, she brings a wealth of experiences to this important assignment. Her personal and professional accomplishments combined with what she has learned through the challenging journey of being first lady at her local church, and district church uniquely qualifies her to help other first ladies around the National Church.
She is proudly married to District Elder Charlie Smith who is the superintendent of the Central Georgia District. Her local church is Loose & Bind Ministries in Dublin, Georgia. With this dual role, Lady Zellene and her team will bring forth articles, experiences, concerns and issues relating to first ladies. The goal is to help women spiritually, physically and socially to live their lives to the fullest potential. She will encourage first ladies to connect, support and inspire other women to create within themselves a well-balanced ministry in the church, at work, and in the home.
Lady Zellene is the seventh child of nine siblings. She is a graduate of Fort Valley State University where she received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration in 1977. She retired R.J. Reynolds Company of after 28-years of service. She has faithfully served in various offices in the church under the leadership of the late Elder Dexter Marshall before becoming a first lady. Lady Zellene also works tirelessly by her husband side as the financial secretary for their business, Smith Home Improvement & Builders, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors.
Healthy Living: Katrice Mackey, Georgia District
Lady Katrice Mackey is more than qualified to lead as the editor of the “Healthy Living” category which provides medical information, resources and support . Her team of seven medical professionals are highly credentialed and at the forefront of medical issues related to today’s women.
Lady Katrice Mackey has been married to Pastor Bruce Mackey for 24 years and serves as first lady of Faith Babies Ministries Church of God by Faith in Fort Valley, Georgia. She is also the Co-Founder of Rock Out-Reach Enterprises and BK Ministries: An Outreach Ministry reaching out to lost and troubled youth.
Lady Mackey is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, GA. After a brief career as a middle school science teacher, Lady Mackey decided to attend Physician Assistant School at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She has been practicing as a Physician Assistant (PA) for the past 19 years and currently serves as a Physician Assistant for the Georgia Department of Corrections and Fort Valley State University. She has practiced in multiple disciplines of medicine during her career as a PA.
Financial Solutions: Carolyn Jacobs, Jacksonville District
Minister Carolyn L. Jacobs is the editor of “Financial Solutions.” Her practical ways of thinking about finances and understanding that God wants us to be good stewards makes her a great leader for Financial Solutions. She and her team of four reviews and researches a variety of resources in order to bring forth helpful information regarding our financial lives.
Minister Jacobs attends Solid Rock Church of God by Faith, in Yulee, Florida under the leadership of Dr. Harry J. Johnson and First Lady Nancy Johnson. She has worked closely with her pastor as the Executive Leader for Outreach and Evangelism and various other local and national assignments.
Women’s Ministry is at the heart of her of her passion for over all outreach and evangelism. She Is credited with publishing the Woman In Ministry Training Manual. Additionally, she was instrumental In revising and publishing the Ministers Training Manual for the National Examining Board. Minister Jacobs facilitates an outreach team that conducts Sunday Services in a low- income apartment complex in St. Mary’s, GA. She is also team leader for a jail ministry in Nassau County which provides Christmas support to children of the inmates.
