Greetings to my Sisters in the Faith!
I would like to offer words of encouragement regarding our being unique and incredible women as we serve in our respective role(s) within the Body of Christ.
Faith and unity have always been the strong guiding forces in the lives of many African American women and for all that we have received from our spiritual communities, we give back even more.
From time to time, we should pause from our hectic schedules and responsibilities to ponder the question: “Who am I and what am I assigned to do as a Christian women?” Well, we are unique and we are incredible. In fact, women have long been regarded as the backbone of the black church.
Single, married, widowed and divorced members of the congregations of African American churches are predominantly women.
Our purpose in life was ordained by God before the foundation of the world. Therefore, who we are is not defined by the world’s system, but rather by the Word of God.
There are six unique way women bring life and health to the church. These are identified and explained, by Writer Kristen Wetherell, as Childbearing, Hospitality, Compassion, Teaching Relationships and Leadership. https://www.ibelieve.com/faith/6-unique-ways-women-bring-life-and-health-to-the-church.html
