Hello Ladies,
Welcome to "Spiritual Life,” I am Lady Monique Jordan. I am a member of the Dual State West District, under District Elder Alphonso, and Lady Cleopatra Boone. I serve at New Direction Church of God by Faith in Tacoma Washington, where my husband, Elder Anthony Jordan is the Pastor. I am honored to share information about the Spiritual Life component of our new website. I feel very privileged to be a part of this ministry as editor of Spiritual Life. I will be contacting you regularly by letter, sharing practical information about Spiritual Life. Look for my letters in this form: “Momo’s No Excuses University.”
A little personal and professional history:
Pastor Jordan and I have been married for over 33 years, I have 6 grown children, ages ranging between 22 to 38. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Education and Pastoral Counseling and I have taught 6th through 8th grade Math and Science for 12 years. Pastor Jordan and I were called to ministry in Washington State over 30 years ago. We love this calling and have learned some things we think are worth sharing.
Why Spiritual Life Is Important:
Spiritual life begins in our hearts, is conceived on holy ground, and grows as we connect and commune with God, through Jesus Christ. Our Spiritual Life is the place in our hearts where our souls learn to submit, become intimate, and fall in love with Jesus. It is where we learn to trust God for our existence. As our love for our Savior grows we begin to recover from past hurts, and develop emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. As we grow we progress from tests to testimonies our trust in God increases. Each test leads us to greater spiritual maturity. Additionally, our "Spiritual Life" is where we learn to drive in the vehicle that leads us to the land where loving and forgiving ourselves, and others, becomes a natural part of our existence. Finally, our spiritual life is where we learn to anoint and dress ourselves with the Joy of the Lord, which is our strength! I look forward to joining with you on this amazing journey of love for our Savior.
God Bless You,
Lady Monique Jordan.
