Greetings to my ByFaith Sisters.
The new Central Georgia District, organized and formulated the Sister Keepers Ministry under the Leadership of our District First Lady, Zellene Smith.
Evangelist Eleanor Thomas, was appointed as coordinator. A planning committee of 10 other sisters were named; one representing each local Church.
Our Theme:
“Women Reaching Women,” Scripture 2 Cor. 1:3-5. It was so heart-touching to us, that Sister Keepers is not just a mere conference slogan, but a way of life that we as women of God can dedicate ourselves to.
We were blessed to have 72 Sisters sign up for our Conference and 12 others that purchased T-Shirts to join us as a group during our central Georgia Picnic on Oct 3, 2015.
We were blessed to have Minister Ruth Brown, of Abbeville, COGBF, as our Friday night speaker during our Candle Lighting Ceremony.
On Saturday morning, we had a prayer and a praise service and our speaker was First Lady Patricia Lester, of Hawkinsville, COGBF. At the close of the service, we had mothers and female ministers from our local churches anoint handmade handkerchiefs and prayed over them. Each person was given a handkerchief to be used as a healing balm. A space was then opened for hotel check-out and dinner.
Our closing ceremony began with praise and worship and then we had time for fun, fun, fun. We played games, had prizes as we laughed and enjoyed each another. Everyone was presented with a gift bag. God really blessed us, and His spirit overshadowed every service.
We’ve received many great reviews, and many more left with a mind to make sure they are there next year. We prayed fervently for our planning committee and for this conference and the Lord truly blessed.
God is yet blessing us. Please keep the COGBF Central Georgia District in your prayers.
