Hush Puppies
From the COGBF Cookbook:
Submitted by Ruby Powell (South Alabama District)
- 2 Cups Cormeal
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 large can cream corn
- 1 onion chopped
- 1/2 to 1/3 cups of sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- Add buttermilk to moisten
Mix all ingredients together, knead into balls and deep fry in vegetable oil.
