On June 4, 2016, the Women of Starke Church of God by Faith hosted its first Mini-Women's Conference entitled “This Means War.”
Our theme today indicates that we are engaged in a war, our enemy is Satan, and the location of the battlefield is in our mind. It’s going to take a made up, anchored down, steadfast mind to stand up for holiness and righteousness in these dark and evil days.
Our keynote speaker was none other than Lady Gwendolyn Cooper Ware of the Ocala District. Lady Ware is the founder and President of Perfecting Ministries, Inc. and the Ocala District Women’s Ministry were she renders counsel and spiritual guidance. Lady Ware reminded us that we cannot play “pity pat” games with the devil but must always be suited up for battle with the Armour of God.
To understand the battle, we need to begin with acknowledging the fact that we are in a war. War involves combat between armies and they consist of any type of struggle or controversy. In war, battles are fought on different fronts, for different reasons, and with varying degrees of intensity. As Christians, our spiritual battles and warfare are real, even though we cannot always physically see the attacker. But we can educate ourselves on how the battles are fought and how they impact our lives on a daily basis.
Our spiritual life is like a battlefield. There is a constant struggle in our mind to resist the temptations of sin and remain committed to the principles, precepts, and examples of the doctrine of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The women of Starke Church of God by Faith declared and decreed on this day that...the Armor of God is not light to carry but it is our life line. With constant attacks from the enemy, it is very essential that we are conscious of his tricks traps and schemes.
TODAY
Today is the last day the mighty women of God will stand idle to Satan and his crafty deception
Today is the last day we cower in fear when signs of trouble arise.
Today is the last day our families are subject to destruction by the enemy.
Satan doesn't even have the rest of Today!
So strap on your God given bulletproof vest, your combat boots, and don't forget your biblical ammo because
THIS MEANS WAR!
